The marigold is cast in 22K yellow gold with individually hand-tooled petals and a granulated center created using the Etruscan technique: micro gold spheres are individually fused to the surface by diffusion bonding, without solder. The bee is formed through lost-wax casting, then finished by hand with engraved striping and wing veining. Its wings are brought to a satin finish, allowing them to catch light differently from the polished body and amber enamel torso.
